Interactions are a powerful new feature in GovPossible, helping you get a more holistic view of your municipality by better understanding how your residents interact with their government.
“Notes” are available on businesses and a bunch of other things already, and many of you have used them for noting when you reached out. However, when we communicate with someone, it’s a little bit different than just a simple note. It’s about the something in the system, like a business or a permit, but it’s (usually) with a person (at that business or the homeowner) at a particular time. Interactions allow you to track that!
Interactions are just above ‘Notes’ on a record:

When you add one, you can select the type of communication, the contact within the account, and when it happened:

These all end up attached to both the business and the Business and the person and in their Interaction timeline:

Interactions really help leverage the power of your connected system in GovPossible. You can see a timeline of calls to a contractor not just about their business license, but also about any permits. As we add other features and modules, you can see how tying them into interactions will be a core part of helping you get a better handle on how you’re interacting with your constituents!
