For towns managing reservations of a building or event, the Reservations widget now has a website widget to show live reservation schedules. This is available either as an embeddable widget or, for communities using both our Website and Reservations modules, as a drag-and-drop content block to any page just like a news list or meeting agenda.
The widget is configured by staff once and the website will keep itself current. It’s configurable for which facility types appear (parks, shelters, meeting rooms, athletic fields, or all of them) and how far ahead the schedule looks, from a single day up to 90 days. The listing can also group by date or by facility. Pending bookings are clearly marked, with a short note explaining they may still open back up.
To balance privacy and transparency, the staff can configure whether or not the name of the person or business who reserved a facility appears publicly. By default this is set to hidden, where the entry only reads “Reserved,” but is enabled per facility type.
